Interesting Facts

Thu Oct 22, 2009, 4:02 PM
1. In my state, there's a law saying that any house (apartment, etc) with more than 2-3 (I don't remember the exact number) unmarried women is a house of ill repute.

2. There's a sign in my college dorm that says "Guys DO NOT go beyond this point unless you have a female escort!"

3. Tonight, the RA's have announced over the intercom that they're having "sex in the lobby." Twice.

...I'm really not kidding. However!

1. The law is over a hundred years old, and would probably be taken off the books, if anyone remembered that it was there.

2. The sign is at the entrance to the girls' wing and is meant to keep strange guys from wandering around the girls' side. (Because who REALLY wants to see a strange guy in the hall when you're walking to the bathroom to take a shower in your towel?)

3. "Sex in the Lobby" is a sexual health talk given by a representative of "Planned Parenthood."

Which just goes to show that you can twist facts any way you like, if you really want to.

On a completely separate note, two of my friends are going to be wandering around campus tomorrow afternoon, one in golden underwear, the other in a black corset and heels...both are male. I'll let you figure that one out.

I am, at heart, a nerd. I was in marching band for four years in high school, where I also spent two and a half years as the literary club's president. I learned Magic my senior year - the year that I also got the nickname "queen of the nerds" from some of the Latin club kids - though I'm not very good at it. I was a perfect (if sleep-deprived) teachers' pet, and never snuck out to see random, sketchy guys.

And if that weren't enough, I plan to teach a dead language for a living. Because it fascinates me, and it should fascinate you, too.

I'm not a VISUAL artist, but a literary one, and if you want to read some of my works, go to fanfiction.net - I use the name "scriptrix-scriptorum" there (it's more grammatically correct in Latin, but I couldn't change it here). Those stories will probably end over here, but they'll be published there first.

I am sarcastic, lazy, opinionated, and verbose. If you can't handle that, I'm sorry...but there are plenty of other people in the world for you, and I, to be friends with. (But I do like making friends...if you're interested...)

If there was only something between us
other than our clothes

Nostalgic for 80s fantasy films. When glitter was cheap, monsters were muppets, and Evil was sexy.

You're welcome! I like finding amazing new artists...even if it's while I should be doing my homework.

(Silly college, giving us an internet connection in the dorms...)

Thanks for the watch and the fave :3

FYI: I also posted my fanfic (with extra smut) on adultfanfiction.net if you're interested.

You're welcome! And smut is always good. ;P I'm not that good at writing it, though Jareth keeps insisting that I should...arrogant prat. One day, I'll write him as an evil villain, and break all the fangirls' hearts. *evil laughter*

hehehe All takes is practice *nods*. Jareth would approve of practicing...

True...but I think he's currently mad at me. Apparently, the last few things I've written haven't stood up to his stringent standards of His Royal Highness's sense of self importance. (First Sarah mocks him, then she turns him down for someone else...) I would be sympathetic, but he really does bring it upon himself. Arrogant prat.

You're welcome! I loved his expression - it's that insanely difficult balance between sexy and plotting. (Which I have, apparently, managed to capture in my "Patience Is Not A Virtue" series, if you're interested.)

...I agree with you, though: a one-dimensional, fluffy-cute Jareth isn't realistic at ALL, and ANY character like that is just boring. He needs a little spice, whether overt or covert. (My Jareth started out with overt...and then switched to covert when that started backfiring. *amused*)
